CAR DROVE INTO DITCH – CAR ACCIDENT ATTORNEYS

On Thursday, Donald John Kennedy, of Buffalo, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a rollover crash. He was transported to an emergency room for treatment. Fortunately, he was the only occupant in his vehicle. According to the Minnesota State Patrol’s accident report, the single-vehicle crash was reported around 4:09 p.m. near milepost 129 along Minnesota Highway 7. According to the crash report, Kennedy was driving a Ford F250 pickup truck westbound on Highway 7 when it left the roadway and rolled.

Fortunately, Kennedy was wearing a seat belt and the airbag in the truck deployed. Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash and alcohol is not believed to be a factor, according to the State Patrol. That sounds to us like he was driving too fast.

Our car accident attorneys handle many cases where a car goes off the road into a ditch. In this case, the roads were wet. However, that is not an excuse. When the roads are wet or slippery, the driver must slow down and drive more carefully. Of course, there are many reasons a car accident like this can happen. In many cases, there is a curve in the road. However, not always. The primary causes of driving off the road are driver distraction and drunk driving.
