CAR ACCIDENT LAWYERS MN – HASTINGS MULTI CAR CRASH
A 17-year-old boy is dead following a three-vehicle crash near Hastings MN. The accident happened Saturday afternoon. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. in Vermillion Township on 160th Street East at Freeborn Avenue.
The state patrol says a driver in a Toyota Corolla was driving down 160th Street when they slowed to make a left turn onto Freeborn Avenue. Unfortunately, the car behind did not also slow down. The Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with the back of the Toyota, pushing it into oncoming traffic. Of course, this resulted in a multi-car accident.
When the Toyota was pushed into the other lane, a Chrysler Town & Country crashed into the passenger side of the Toyota. Unfortunately, the driver of the Toyota, a 17-year-old Farmington boy, was ejected and killed. The state patrol says the victim was wearing a seatbelt. Think about that. A seventeen year old boy was killed. His family will never know what his life would have been.
The driver of the Jeep, a 49-year-old Hastings woman, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Of course, that doesn’t mean the injuries aren’t serious. It is too soon to know at this point. However, there are many car accident injuries that require extensive treatment and high medical bills.
There were two adults and two children in the Chrysler. Luckily, they suffered non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were noted.
