CAR ACCIDENT CAUSED BY DUMP TRUCK – MINNESOTA INJURY LAWYER
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a three-vehicle accident on County Road 82, near East Lake Victoria Road SE. Deputies learned a dump truck was traveling westbound on Co Rd 82, about a mile east of Alexandria. Deputies say the dump truck blew a tire causing it to cross over into the eastbound lane. Unfortunately, the dump truck then struck a Chevy truck and a Jeep. The dump truck driver and Chevy driver were not injured.However, the Jeep driver was pronounced deceased on scene.
Assisting on scene were North Memorial Ambulance, Alexandria Fire Department, and the MN State Patrol. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating. Because of the seriousness of this dump truck accident, they will most likely do a reconstruction to find out how the crash really occurred. For example, the dump truck’s tires may have been overly worn, making them more susceptible to a blowout.Or, the driver of the dump truck may have run over something he should have avoided.
