Car Accident Attorney MN Ran Stop Sign

A recent police report described a bad intersection car accident after one car ran a stop sign. The report stated that one of the drivers was taken to Mayo Health Systems-Lake City after the two-car crash at about 4:24 p.m. Tuesday. A car was eastbound on 10th Street but failed to yield for a stop sign when the 2013 Lincoln she was driving collided with a 1998 Dodge pickup.  The driver from Red Wing Minnesota was injured, according to a report by the Minnesota State Patrol. Fortunately, the driver’s injuries that were not life threatening. No further updates on her condition were available. Lake City’s police, fire department and ambulance service all responded to the crash site.

When a driver does not stop for a stop sign, it is usually because they are distracted by something else they are doing while driving. For example, they may have been checking their phone or adjusting the radio.  We all rely on other drivers to obey the rules of the road.  Stopping at a stop sign is fundamental. Drivers have an obligation to pay attention while driving and they are responsible for the consequences when their lack of attention results in their car running a stop sign causing a crash.
