FAILURE TO STOP AT STOP SIGN CAUSED FATAL CRASH IN ALEXANDRIA MN
The Minnesota State Patrol recently reported a crash at the intersection of Co. Rd. 1 and Hwy. 27 in Douglas County Minnesota. The crash report says the 66-year-old man from Alexandria, MN ran the stop sign and crashed into a pickup. His car then crashed into another one on the same road.
Unfortunately, the three-car crash killed the driver of the car that didn’t stop for the stop sign. However, the other two drivers were hurt in the crash but are expected to be Ok.

We may never know why that car ran the stop sign, but we do know the lives of many people have been permanently affected as a result of this tragic accident. A life-changing crash like that just takes a moment of driver inattention. For example, looking at a cellphone or text message, adjusting the radio, or taking your eyes off the road for any reason can result in a crash. People rely on the other driver to stop at a stop sign. That is what allows everyday traffic.
