Elderly Driver Swerved Into Oncoming Traffic

ACCIDENT BY ELDERLY DRIVER SWERVING INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC

The Minnesota State Patrol recently released this YouTube Dash-cam video. The video shows an elderly driver who served into oncoming traffic. Not surprisingly he nearly caused a serious auto accident. According to the State Patrol trooper, the senior citizen driver initially refused to even believe he had done anything wrong. In fact, he wasn’t aware that he nearly caused a car crash.

Fortunately, no one was injured in this case. However, our car accident lawyers frequently have cases where the other driver denies being at fault until witnesses or a video prove it. Of course, this includes older drivers. (We had one case where an older driver hit a bicycle rider on the shoulder of the road. He claim they were at an intersection – which photos showed they were clearly not.) It is frustrating that some people don’t take responsibility for their actions. However, we work hard to make sure the truth comes out.

In many of our cases, the victim of the crash is seriously injured, with significant medical bills and time away from work. When we conduct our initial investigation, our car accident lawyers look for dash cam video, intersection cameras, body cameras on the policy officers, phone cameras of witnesses, and anything else we can find to support our client’s case. Our primary focus is to make sure our clients are fully compensated after the car accident injury.
